Paps Italian, under the direction of Neapolitan chef Luigi Mariconda, first opened its doors in January 2015 in the heart of Karaköy’s Historic French Passage.
Offering a delightful ambience at any time of the day, Paps Italian features pizzas and breads made with 40-year-old sourdough, homemade pastas and tiramisu, meats and fish served with traditional sauces unique to the city of Naples, Gruyere cheese brought from Kars, buffalo milk burrata, 36-month-aged Parmigiano, and a rich selection of wines and cocktails from boutique producers.

The restaurant’s branding based on bright red, reflecting wood fire and ingredients from Italian cuisine. Similar script characters to Mum’s Cafe’s logo are created for Paps Italian’s logo to emphasize the family ties between the two restaurants, which are situated across from each other in a passageway in Karaköy.
